AIDSFree Activities in the Middle East/North Africa (MENA) Region

  • Rights to Equality in Middle East/North Africa: AIDSFree is working in Algeria, Lebanon, Morocco, and Tunisia to create a sustainable mechanism for HIV-focused organizations working with key populations to facilitate referrals to appropriate, non-discriminatory health services and generate human rights-based evidence. The evidence will help inform emergency responses, human-rights programming, engagement with decisionmakers, and access to justice. AIDSFree partner, the International HIV/AIDS Alliance, is leading this initiative together with community partners in each of the four countries: in Algeria, Association de Protection contre le SIDA (APCS); in Lebanon, Soin Infermiers e de Développement Communautaire (SIDC); in Morocco, Association Marocain de Santé et de Développement (AMSED); and in Tunisia, Association Tunisienne de Lutte contre les MST/SIDA (ATL MST/SIDA).
