This workshop, hosted by the UNITAID/PSI HIV Self-Testing Africa (STAR) Project from March 29-30, 2017 in Nairobi, Kenya, focused on sharing lessons learned, evidence, and skills building among African HIV Self Testing (HIVST) stakeholders.

The multi-year UNITAID/PSI HIV Self-Testing AfRica (STAR) Project is working to catalyze the market for HIV self-testing and reach more people who face limited access to conventional testing. Through the STAR project, UNITAID, PSI, WHO and other partners are evaluating and scaling up HIVST through different distribution models in three high HIV-burden countries: Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
