Strengthening Research Utilization in HIV Implementation Science

Event Date:

Wednesday, June 29, 2016 - 10:00 am to 11:15 am EDT

Supporting stakeholders to use research findings when crafting policies and programs is a critical part of the research process. However, researchers are often in need of strategies for how best to engage stakeholders and facilitate the uptake of results.

In this webinar, Project SOAR researchers and experts will draw on experiences from a variety of countries and contexts in sharing effective strategies for communicating research findings to stakeholders and supporting them to use the findings for decision making.

Research utilization is a major component of Project SOAR—a USAID-supported, global implementation science initiative focused on generating evidence to improve HIV prevention, care, and treatment programs and policies. The Population Council leads Project SOAR in collaboration with Avenir Health, Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, Johns Hopkins University, Palladium, and the University of North Carolina.
