This webinar from September 25, 2019 discusses what sustainability means in voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC) programming. During this webinar, speakers provide examples of sustainability in action, highlight the processes used to date, and share AIDSFrees results, challenges, and lessons learned through our VMMC programs in Tanzania.
Globally and nationally, governments and implementing partners are working together to integrate VMMC services into primary care. Since 2015, AIDSFree Tanzania has emphasized sustainability in its VMMC program, working with local government authorities and civil society organizations to integrate and promote VMMC services within existing health systems. Hear more about how after adapting the national-level PEPFAR Sustainability Index Tool to assess and drive progress at the facility, district, and regional levels, the project led the development of a national sustainability roadmap to guide VMMC efforts.
