This satellite, sponsored by PEPFAR and USAID through the AIDSFree Project, provided a summary of VMMC and early infant male circumcision (EIMC)-related research findings to be published in July 2016 in two journal collections in PLOS and Global Health: Science and Practice. The PLOS collection, focused on VMMC modeling, was developed in collaboration with USAID, the World Bank, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The Global Health: Science and Practice collection, focused on EIMC, was produced in collaboration with UNICEF. Results with significant policy- and strategy-level consequences for national HIV programs were highlighted. A moderated panel discussion following the presentation of the research featured key stakeholders sharing their experiences in scaling up VMMC and their ideas about future directions. Members of the audience were encouraged to participate actively in the dialogue.
