UNAIDS and WHO co-hosted a satellite session to launch the voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC) new strategic directions through 2021. This first year of the Sustainable Development Goal era (2016 – 2030) provides an opportunity to implement new strategic directions that are aligned with global goals and a people-centered approach. The session examined the directions including focusing on scale-up and enhancing service packages, platforms, and partnerships for adolescent boys and men towards achieving the new UNAIDS fast-track HIV incidence reduction targets.
