Professor Lucie Cluver is based at Oxford University and the University of Cape Town. She works closely with PEPFAR-USAID, UNICEF, Save the Children and the World Health Organisation as well as the South African national government, on research to help policy and programming for AIDS-affected children. She is lucky to work with an incredible team of postdoctoral and doctoral students, volunteers and senior colleagues. One of their current projects is the world’s largest longitudinal study of HIV+ adolescents, in rural and urban South Africa. She spends most of her time worrying about riots in her study sites and re-calculating research budgets to buy more 4X4s.
