In 2008, AIDSTAR-One began the process of compiling a compendium of programs and conducting case studies illustrating HIV prevention, treatment, care, and support programs in sub-Saharan Africa that integrate multiple gender strategies. This series includes a Gender Compendium report, five case studies, and a summary findings report.

AIDSTAR-One Gender-based Violence Case Study Series

In 2010, AIDSTAR-One conducted case studies in three countries where GBV services were available. These case studies were developed to help program managers design, plan, and implement strategies to integrate GBV within existing HIV, family planning, or reproductive health services and programs. Analysis of the studies—conducted in Vietnam, Ecuador, and Swaziland—yielded five major findings and eight overarching recommendations. This collection presents the case studies and the accompanying report.

Resources for the Clinical Management of Children and Adolescents Who Have Experienced Sexual Violence

As interventions and evidence around GBV have been strengthened, increasing attention is being paid to the need for addressing sexual violence and exploitation of children and adolescents. This collection includes technical considerations, accompanying job aids, and a companion guide to strengthen the linkages between clinical and social services and help address and respond to the unique needs and rights of children and adolescents who have experienced sexual violence and exploitation.
