The Community Workshop Briefing Document is a tool for sharing information about HIV self-testing with community stakeholders, with the purpose of gathering organizations and networks to effectively implement HIV self-testing. This tool was developed by Wits for use in South Africa. The document introduces HIV self-testing, covers distribution approaches supported by South Africa’s national HIV testing guidelines, and explains the purpose of community engagement on HIV self-testing. The document also contains a set of questions for community stakeholders to consider within their teams prior to attending the workshop in order to facilitate productive conversations around HIVST implementation. Program implementers may use this tool for similar community engagement activities.
