Besides the supporting tools developed to promote accurate HIVST kit use and effective linkage to HIV testing confirmation and care, the ATLAS Project developed adapted additional leaflets in Côte d’Ivoire, Mali, and Senegal.

The leaflets, developed based on the results of cognitive tests conducted with users from targeted populations, propose key elements differently than instructions for use (IFUs) to ensure that illiterate people can understand the messages. They include additional information on the legal age for HIV testing, hotline logos and numbers, or a list of health services for testing confirmation/linkage to care.

A country specific additional leaflet is included with every HIVST kit distributed and allows the ATLAS project to track the delivery channel and the implementing partners (colored sticker with a code is affixed).
