The ATLAS Project, supported and funded by Unitaid and implemented by Therapeutic Solidarity and Initiatives for Health (Solthis) in consortium with the Institute of Research for Development (IRD), aims to boost knowledge about HIV status among most-at-risk populations to reduce new infections and HIV mortality.

Besides the supporting tools developed to promote accurate HIVST kit use and effective linkage to HIV testing confirmation and care, the ATLAS Project developed adapted additional leaflets in Côte d’Ivoire, Mali, and Senegal.

The leaflets, developed based on the results of cognitive tests conducted with users from targeted populations, propose key elements differently than instructions for use (IFUs) to ensure that illiterate people can understand the messages. They include additional information on the legal age for HIV testing, hotline logos and numbers, or a list of health services for testing confirmation/linkage to care.
