Jikinge, University of Pennsylvania, Impact Research and Development Organization (IRDO) (N.D.).

This self-referral card is used by participants in the Jikinge research study, which examines the impact of HIV self-testing (HIVST) among sex workers and other high-risk women in Nyanza Province, Kenya. This tool encourages self-testers to link to confirmatory testing and counseling with messages in English, Swahili, and Dholuo. The Jikinge study facilitates distribution of HIVST kits to participants' high-risk partners. Partners who take an HIVST can use this form as a self-referral for confirmatory testing. The form also advertises a telephone hotline that clients can use for referral information and invites self-testers to participate in a survey by text messaging about their experience using the oral HIVST kit.
